Fabian Williams, known as The Occasional Superstar, made his first foray into illustration when he took pencil to paper and began copying the detailed drawings of characters out of the comic books he read as a youngin. It was a perfect way to learn proportions and musculature - plus it looked cool to his middle school friends. In this “Marvel Us” series, Fabian reimagines the X-men as Black cultural giants.
